Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge is my first Bollywood offer: Raghu Dixit

India's first facebook movie does not boast of any heavyweight on the credit list but the film 'Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge' is relying heavily on its youth appeal and tight script. Most of the faces involved with the film are relatively inexperienced including the debutant director Nupur Asthana.
Probably the idea behind taking all new faces in the film was that the film revolves around social networking sites which are primarily dominated by the youngsters, and most of the prominent faces of the Bollywood have already crossed that age limit to be called teens.
The story opens with a bunch of college kids who are experiencing the weirdness of adolescence in an environment which is both liberal and high on hopes.
The Hindi film industry is not known for western kind of chic-flicks or films based on the social networking phenomenon, thus even the moderate success of 'Mujhse Fraaaandship Karoge' can prove to be a trend setter.

Produced by Y-Films, a tributary to the mother company Yash Raj Films, has produced the film which explores the desires of the youth which get reflected through their facebook status.
The infusion of facebook in the daily lives of youngsters has happened to such an extent that they have started to update bizarre things such as every location change and current relationship rather infatuation status.
'Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge' has four people in the centre in the shapes of Rahul, Vishal, Preity and Malvika, played by Nishant Dahiya, Saqib Saleem, Saba Azad and Tara D’Souza. These four people are divided into two different groups.
The first group consists of Rahul and Malvika, who have good looks and great fan following in their college. Vishal and Preity form the second group who are creatively brilliant but are shy in expressing their views at public forums.
The problem arises when introvert photographer Preity falls for the rockstar Rahul and Vishal the writer starts feeling attracted towards Malvika.
Socially awkward Vishal and Preity find it difficult to express anything publicly thus they decide to do it on facebook but their real identities are expected to present hindrances.
Therefore, Preity makes her facebook profile as Malvika and starts chatting with Rahul, without having the slightest idea that Rahul could also be someone else. On the other side Vishal also faces the same problems in playing Rahul on facebook.
Confusions lead them to a state where their personal lives get badly affected due to the identity change.
What happened next will be answered with the release of 'Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge' on October 14
